Bushells.com is Growing |
 |
29th April 2009
Bushells website has grown at a tremendous rate. Now listed on over 75,000 search engines and directories, the results are starting to filter through as listings propagate as these sites gradually index our pages. What we have seen is a shift away from the use of Property Portals and towards search engines. Current statistics show that 68% of our web traffic comes from just 2 search engines. Unsurprisingly, Google leads the field, but Globrix is a huge source of business.
Current traffic shows the top three sources of hits as Google 47%, Globrix.com 21%, and direct to Bushells.com 19% ( Rightmove does not provide leads to websites, rather lists properties and contact details. As such, we cannot independently verify the traffic generated. Rightmove's Statistics show that they are the 4th highest provider of enquiries.)
In the last months, over 40% of visitors have been new visitors who had not visited the site before. An average of more than 10 pages were viewed by each user.
One surprising fact is that more leads have been generated from Facebook and Twitter than from certain Property Portals!
Bushells monitor web traffic and traffic sources on a daily basis to ensure that content is targeted at the right people. We constantly analyze what key words customers search for and ensure that we update our pages accordingly. Every property is registered as a separately named page by location ensuring buyers and tenants can find what they want by location even if they have never heard of Bushells!
Interestingly, April was the first month for nearly a year where more people search for sales properties than rentals.
Other interesting facts were:
After Windows and Macintosh, iPhone was the next most used operating system. Blackberry is not far off either.
UK provided the highest number of enquiries as one would expect. Next was USA, France, Italy, Australia, Germany, Ireland, Spain, Netherlands and Canada. India and Russia have moved up the league tables since March.
Clapham has proved the most popular location for searches!
