Managing Director
Eric started in the business in 1987 in Bournemouth and the New Forest with well known corporate agencies before taking over a Land and New Homes Department in Southampton. Following a period in his home town in Dorset, he moved to Tower Bridge in 1997. He spent 11 years with Alex Neil, during which time he was promoted to Director and worked across the Docklands area. Eric joined Bushells in 2008 at one of the most challenging times possible and has focussed heavily on customer service, compliance and technical innovation. He has extensive knowledge of all aspects of the business including sales, lettings, compliance, land and new homes & property management. He is a regular member of a number of industry groups advising on a broad spectrum of issues facing the industry and writes a number of articles for the press. Eric has a particular interest in online marketing, but, he argues, more importantly rugby and seldom misses an opportunity to visit Twickenham! Eric is a member of NAEA, ARLA and NALS Richard Long
Lettings Director
Richard began his career in 1984 in an independent estate agency as a sales negotiator until 1993 when he transferred to a lettings negotiator role within Bushells. He was promoted to become Lettings Manager of our flagship office in Dulwich. During 2000 he passed the A.R.L.A. exam with distinction, further cementing his lettings knowledge. In 2004 he was promoted to the role of area manager; responsible for offices in Balham, Dulwich and Streatham. In January 2008 he was invited to join the Board of Directors and is now lettings director for Bushells. Robert Courtney
Head of Land & New Homes
Having started his career in Estate Agency aged 17 as an office junior for Townends Head Office in Weybridge, Robert Courtney joined PKL in 1999 as a Senior Property Manager for the John D Wood & Faron Sutaria Chelsea and South Kensington Portfolio. Robert accelerated his career within PKL and headed up the Short Let Management Department based in Chelsea. In 2006 Robert moved into the Land & Development Department and was appointed Group Land Manager for Featherstone Leigh Estate Agents in Richmond. After enjoying great success within the Surrey area he joined Bushells in 2009 to launch their Land & New Homes Department. With Robert’s wealth of experience in both the back offices of Property Management and front offices of Sales & Lettings he has proven invaluable working with our investment clients in trouble shooting new developments and assisting in both the disposal and acquisitions. Sarah Doyle
Head of Property Management
After a career working for Social Services as a residential social worker spanning 10 years, Sarah decided a change was called for and joined a small independent company based in Fulham starting as a secretary and progressing to property management. Sarah joined Bushells in 2003 where she headed up the Property Management Department managing a very successful team. The department has undergone many changes but the ethos remains the same, a pride in a job well done! It is not an easy job trying to keep everyone happy, but her team does it very well with a blend of enthusiasm, professionalism and experience. Sarah believes that this challenging department brings its own rewards as every day is different and its a good feeling when you go home knowing you have done your best for both landlords and tenants. Sales Manager - Fulham
Mathew joined Bushells in 1994 as a part of the Dulwich sales team. From there he worked in our Hammersmith branch and then spent 4 years in the Fulham office. In 2000 he was promoted to Manager of Battersea. With stints in as manager of Balham, Acton and Chiswick he is now back in his favorite office Fulham where he heads up a very experienced team with over 40 years in Fulham alone. Mathew is an exceptionally experienced manager who generates a huge amount of positive feedback from vendors delighted with his industrious, honest, no nonsense attitude. On the downside, he supports Liverpool FC. Kevin Hailey
Sales Manager - Clapham
Kevin has over 12 years experience working in the property industry starting off like many other Estate Agents as Junior Negotiator with no experience but just a passion to learn the industry and to make it his career. Kevin first started his Estate Agency career in Wandsworth Common, on Bellevue Road for a large corporate company, matching people to their perfect homes and becoming one of the highest performers in the London region in his first 3 years, then moving into management several years later where he took several offices into record levels of achievement. Kevin has lived in South West London for over 13 years and is proud to call South-West London his home as he feels it is a place like no other. Kevin is originally from Cornwall and moved to London when he was 19 and has always had a passionate approach to his business and aims to make sure that the service that his clients experience is that of total satisfaction. He works closely with his team to make sure in delivering a service which is bespoke, personal and quite simply the very best. Kevin believes that when you are moving house, it is imperative that your agent understands your needs fully in order to be able to deliver a service which is bespoke, personal and caters for all parties in making sure the service delivers excellent results every time. Lettings Manager - Dulwich
Ashley began her career in 2003 at the Dulwich office as a Lettings Negotiator. By 2007 Ashley had climbed the ladder from a Negotiator to Senior Negotiator and then Assistant Manager. Within the same year she was promoted to manager of Streatham Branch and remained there until 2008 which was when she returned to what she calls her “home town” to continue her career as the Lettings Manager of Dulwich office. Since her return, the office has gone from strength and is considered a flagship office which enjoys a tremendous volume of repeat business and recommendation. Liz Marshall
Sales Manager - Dulwich
Liz Marshall has been in the Dulwich office for 7 years. She started as a negotiator in 2003 after spending many years in the fashion industry running her own business in London. After 3 years of exceptional results she became Assistant manager and a year later took over as Sales Manager. Liz has lived in East Dulwich for nearly 14 years and her daughter attends a local school. She has seen many changes in the area over these years and her local knowledge of the area has proved invaluable when dealing with prospective buyers, especially those new to the area seeking advice on local schools and services. Liz prides herself on the volume of repeat business she has generated over the years from satisfied sellers and buyers. Her team has stayed with her since she became manager and follow her ethos of providing a professional and courteous service. Stephen joined the company in February 2010 returning to the area where he first started his journey in this Industry some 20 years ago! After having owned his own successful estate agents in Sunbury on Thames for the last 10 years which he sold as a going concern in 2009, Steve was looking for an opportunity to use his experience elsewhere and felt that Bushells offered him that chance. Acton has benefited from his wealth of knowledge and experience in Sales as well as Lettings establishing itself as the market leader in the area. Steve has always maintained a wealth of experience and a positive outlook in this market which filters down to his staff and is one of many keys to the success of this high profile branch!! Lettings Manager - Hammersmith
Amy Joined Bushells in 2003 starting as a Letting Negotiator and has progressed her career in Bushells to her current position as Letting Manager, through hard work, determination and excellent customer service. Amy was promoted to letting manager of our Streatham branch and to date has been Bushells youngest Manager. Being a ‘West London’ girl at heart when the opportunity arose she jumped at the chance of managing the Hammersmith Letting department and is incredibly enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the Hammersmith area. Amy has worked within the area establishing herself as one of the top agents with an unrivalled knowledge of the Hammersmith letting market. Amy has generated a huge amount of repeat business from satisfied landlords, both private and commercial.
Kelly Gardiner
Lettings Manager - Balham
Kelly began her career in Estate Agency in 2000 as an office administrator. In 2004 she decided that with her knowledge and sales ability to step into the role of a Lettings Negotiators and has not looked back since. She was quickly promoted to Senior Negotiator within a very successful office in Bromley for a large independent agent. In 2008 she joined Bushells East Dulwich office where she gained a greater knowledge of the industry and from there was promoted in 2009 to Lettings Manager for the successful Balham Office. Lettings Manager - Fulham
Angela Davey started her career in 2003 as a trainee Lettings Negotiator with Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward in Beckenham, Kent. She remained there for 3 years during which time she passed her ARLA 1 & 2 professional exams and was promoted to Senior Negotiator. She left KFH as one of their top lettings negotiators and having truly been bitten by the lettings bug! After a year working as the Recruitment Manager for Reed in Partnership in Bermondsey, Angela realised her true passion was for lettings and so returned to the industry as Senior Lettings Negotiator for Wates Residential in Crystal Palace. After joining Wates Residential and 3 consecutive months of winning top Lettings Negotiator, Angela was promoted to Lettings Manager of the Dulwich office. The year following running the Dulwich Lettings office, Angela led her office on to winning Lettings office of the year, a sight she had set herself when appointed. Lettings Manager - Clapham
Melissa began her career with Bushells in 1999 as a secretary where she gained a great deal of background knowledge on the paperwork, legal and practical side of lettings. She furthered her knowledge when, after five years, she transferred to a negotiator role. Based in Balham covering; SW12, SW2 and SW4, she thrived in finding suitable Tenants for Landlords and finding ‘homes’ for Tenants, not just somewhere to rent. Due to her consistent outstanding success, Melissa was promoted to manager in 2008 and now thoroughly enjoys managing her team in Clapham, where they strive to provide the upmost of services to Landlords and Tenants and enjoy offering advice and local knowledge to all.
